On Monday, December 8th- I decided to go to Pentagon City. Usually, when I go to that particular mall I would head straight first to Nordstrom, to check out the latest kicks and jeans; however, that night, I felt like I needed to make a major purchase. I decided to go to the Apple store to look at the MacBooks. At first, I was skeptical about buying it; but I've been wanting it since the MacBook Air was released earlier this year. I know your probably asking yourself, "Why are were you skeptical?" Here's my answer: I have both a DELL desktop (that's connected to my 40' Plasma TV) and a Inspiron laptop (which I recently upgraded the RAM, since most of the programs were running a bit slow, and still is). Compulsive huh?! Let's just say that, what Gilbert wants, Gilbert gets!
While I was inside the Apple store, I had to choose between the latest generation of MacBooks and the AIR. Yes, there's a quite a difference between the two. Why the MacBook AIR huh? Well, let me just say that I like the way it looks. Sad isn't it? So after a convo between the Mac employee and I, he recommended getting the regular MacBook oppose to the AIR. I agreed.
At this point, I was just blah and wasn't really excited about it as the employee gets both my laptop and printer. Oh yeah, they had a promo that you get a 100$ rebate towards a purchase of any new MacBooks and Printer. I decided to get the HP wireless printer with a price tag of $129.95, not bad for a 30$ printer right?! My Mac was 1299$, well- 1211$ with my Government discount.
Finally, the transaction was complete with my rebate check on its way. I walked out of the Apple store that night with a 1400$+ purchase. Which wasn't bad at all considering it was worth it! Now that I have my iPhone, iPod Touch and now my new MacBook... I am proud to say that I'm proud to be a MAC user!
